On behalf of the Korean Association of Immunologists (KAI) and the Local Organizing Committee of Cytokines 2024 & KAI 2024, we extend a warm welcome to you for the 12th Annual Meeting of the International Cytokine & Interferon Society (ICIS), jointly held with the KAI International Meeting 2024.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the KAI, it is our great pleasure to host Cytokines 2024 in conjunction with the KAI International Meeting 2024. KAI has been sponsoring scientific sessions in annual Cytokines meetings since 2021, and hosting Cytokines 2024 in Seoul represents another significant milestone for KAI. We believe that the Joint Meeting will further promote cytokine research in Korea and also assist ICIS in expanding its reach to scientists and clinicians in the Asian region. We earnestly anticipate that Cytokines 2024 & KAI 2024 will foster everlasting collaboration between ICIS and KAI.

We have prepared the excellent scientific program, including 2 Keynote Lectures, 3 Plenary Sessions, 16 Symposium Sessions as well as several social events. We are proud to announce that Dr. Drew Weissman, the winner of 2023 Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology, is one of our Keynote Lecturers, and more than 50 world-renowned scientists working in the field of cytokine biology will participate in the event as invited speakers. Additionally, we will select a large number of abstracts for oral presentation and schedule plenty of time for poster presentations, ensuring that young and upcoming scientists will have ample opportunities to share their research and network with their peers, established scientists, and industry participants.

October brings forth the breathtaking transformation of the Korean landscape. The temperature becomes comfortably cool, and Nature unveils its palette of warm hues. Beyond the academic realm, we encourage you to explore the unique charms of Korean autumn.
